How long will it take to complete the course?
We anticipate that the average student will take the approved number of hours (63 for sales agents; 72 for brokers) to complete the course. Because our mastery based platform offers the flexibility to work at your own pace, the time you spend in the course may vary depending on your individual skills. It’s important to remember that the flexibility of online courses affords you the opportunity to start and stop as you have time – maximizing your potential learning experience.
What happens when I finish the course?

Simply go to the main page of your "My McKissock" account to INSTANTLY view and print your certificate of completion! After 30 days, your certificates will be stored under the "History" tab. If you need to reprint a copy, you can do so at your convenience 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Florida requires that you send in your application for initial licensure prior to taking the State Licensing Examination. You will need to submit a completed application, electronic fingerprints, and appropriate fee to FREC.

If I have questions while I’m taking the course, who can help me?
All of your questions about course material will be answered by Dr. Joseph Ponds, Jr., Ph.D. Dr. Joe is McKissock’s Florida Real Estate Expert. You can email content questions any time while taking the course, and he will respond with 24 hours. Dr. Joe is currently qualified as a Real Estate Broker in the state of Florida and is also a FREC-permitted instructor. An educator, trainer, and facilitator for 30 years, he has specialized in real estate education for the past 10 years. He is a master at communicating complex issues in easy-to-understand ways.

What happens if I don’t pass a quiz or the final exam?
Chapter Quizzes:
You will be given as many opportunities as you need to successfully pass the quiz for each chapter. Additionally, the chapter content is available for review at any time after the quiz, so you can revisit the material as needed.

Final Examination:
FREC requires a timed final examination for all pre- and post-license courses. You have up to three hours to successfully complete each final examination. You will be given as many opportunities as you need to successfully pass the final exam.
Will the Florida Real Estate Commission accept McKissock courses?

ABSOLUTELY! McKissock has been an approved continuing education provider in Florida since 1998. In 2005, we obtained our Real Estate School Permit, which allowed us to begin offering Pre-licensing courses for real estate salespersons and brokers, as well as appraisers.

Is there anything else I need to know to become a real estate salesperson in Florida?

In preparation for taking the Florida Real Estate Sales Associate Examination, McKissock suggests that you take one or both of our Exam Prep courses.

You are also required to have a sponsoring broker in order to complete your application.
