What happens if I don’t pass a quiz or the final exam?

Chapter Quizzes:
You will be given as many opportunities as you need to successfully pass the quiz for each chapter. Additionally, the chapter content is available for review at any time after the quiz, so you can revisit the material as needed.

Online Final Examination:
At the end of the course, you will be required to successfully complete a cumulative final examination with a minimum passing score of at least 80%. You have as many opportunities as necessary to successfully pass the end-of-course final examination.

Does McKissock offer any study materials to help me pass the licensing exam?

All your questions about course material will be answered by Nora Monahan. You can email content questions any time while taking the course, and he will respond within 24 hours. Nora is originally from New York and presently lives and works in Woodstock, GA just north of Atlanta. She is licensed in Georgia as a real estate broker, a real estate instructor, an appraiser, and an appraisal instructor. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Economics from C.W. Post Long Island University. While in NY, Nora worked for a computer education company and an international software firm. In GA, she worked with a commercial engineering and construction firm building in the public and private sector before owning her own real estate brokerage and school. She also was an elected member and past chairman of the Cherokee County Board of Education.

How long will it take to complete the course?
We anticipate that the average student will take the approved number of hours (75 hours) to complete the course. Because our mastery based platform offers the flexibility to work at your own pace, the time you spend in the course may vary depending on your individual skills. It’s important to remember that the flexibility of online courses affords you the opportunity to start and stop as you have time - maximizing your potential learning experience.
What happens when I finish the course?

After the online course you are required to take a live proctor exam. Within five days of successfully completing your proctored final examination, we will email your certificate of completion to you and post a copy to your "My McKissock" account.

Is there anything else I need to know to become a real estate salesperson in Georgia?

You must complete 25 hours of post license within their first year, along with your continuing education hours.

What do I need to do to take the proctored exam in Georgia?

The Georgia Real Estate Commission requires that you sucessfully complete a live, proctored final examination with a score of at least 75% or better.

A proctored exam can be administered by many different sources, as long as the proctor serves the public’s interest and does not pose a conflict of interest. Acceptable proctors include: public librarian, notary public, attorney, police officer, bank official, and teacher. Medical personnel and religious leaders can also serve as proctors. When you are ready to take your proctored exam, just give us a call at 1-800-328-2008 and we will either fax or email the examination to your proctor with specific instructions.
