In addition to the college-level course requirements*, the appraisal education classroom hour requirement increased January 1, 2008, for the State Licensed, State Certified Residential and State Certified General classifications. The Trainee classification remains unchanged at 75 classroom hours.
*The Certified Residential classification requires an Associate degree or higher, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 21 college semester hours in specified coursework. The Certified General classification requires a Bachelors degree or higher, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 30 college semester hours in specified coursework.
