Q - How many times can I take a quiz?
A - You may repeat a quiz as needed. If you do not pass the quiz when you take it, you can navigate back through the course to read any material you need to. You may need to click on the Chapter tab, located on the left side of the course, to review the pages in the chapter. You may take the quiz again at any time.
*Please check state-specific final exam requirements by either contacting our office at 800-328-2008, emailing us at vchelp@mckissock.com, or contacting your local Board/Commission.
Q - Why do the quizzes have different questions if I have to take it again?
A - A - Each quiz and final exam is drawn from a "bank" of questions. The question bank is always three times the size of the test. For every question asked, there are 3 questions in the bank. For example, if you have a quiz that contains five (5) questions, there are a total of fifteen (15) questions in the bank. Each quiz and exam randomly choses questions from the bank. You may see some repetition of questions, or questions of a similar nature, but each time you take a quiz or exam it will contain different questions.
*Please check state-specific final exam requirements by either contacting our office at 800-328-2008 or emailing us at vchelp@mckissock.com, or contacting your local Board/Commission.

Q - I did not pass my Final exam; how do I retake it?
A - If you have taken a quiz or exam and did not achieve the required passing grade, you can take the quiz or exam again. In order to take the test again, you will need to open your course to the exam page and click “Try Again.” Please remember that once you click continue, a new exam will open and you will not be able to review the course information. Please review the course material before clicking “Try Again.”
Florida Appraisal, Kentucky Real Estate, and California Real Estate licensees will have two attempts to take a final exam. Florida Real Estate licensees will have five attempts to take the final exam. If you do not pass the final exam, your course will be automatically re-loaded on your My McKissock online courses tab. You will need to take the course again, including all chapter quizzes. Retaking your course will give you two more opportunities to pass the final exam. Please refresh your My McKissock online courses tab to see your repeat course. Do not enter the course labeled “failed” as you will not get credit for that course. There is no additional fee to re-load the course.

Q - Why does my course require a proctored exam?
A - If you are taking a course for Pre-licensing, Upgrading (Qualifying Education), or a USPAP Webinar, you must take a live Proctored exam to receive proper credit for the course. The Proctored exam normally consists of fifty (50) multiple choice questions. Thirty (30) -hour courses have 100 multiple choice questions.
Note: In many states, there is no longer a need to have an exam faxed or emailed to your Proctor. You may now take your Proctored exam directly online through your www.mckissock.com account. Simply log in to your McKissock account and click the “eProctored Exam” button. Your Proctor will need to be present to enter his or her user name and password, or, if this is his or her first time proctoring an exam, he or she can click the link under the sign-in boxes and register to be your Proctor.
You do not have to wait for grading. Your results are instantly available and, in fact, you will be able to print your certificate of completion immediately!
Many people can serve as Proctor for your final exam. For example, a public librarian, notary public, attorney, police officer, or teacher. Medical personnel and religious leaders also can serve as Proctors. Family members and co-workers would not be eligible to proctor your exam.
Note: All Illinois and Nevada Online Courses for Home Inspectors require a live proctored exam for continuing education, and MUST be faxed or emailed back to our office at 1-814-723-0281.

Q - Who can be my Proctor, and how do I get the exam?
A - Many people can serve as a Proctor for your exam. Examples of acceptable Proctors include: public librarian, notary public, lawyer, police officer, and teacher. Medical personnel and religious leaders can also serve as Proctors.
Ineligible people to proctor an exam would include family members and co-workers.
Your Proctor needs to have access to a fax machine or email. We will fax or email the exam to your Proctor. You will then have a specified period of time in which to complete the exam. Some states allow the exams to be proctored and taken right online. You will notice the “eProctored Exam” button located under the course title if your state allows you to take the exam online.
Once completed the exam must be mailed in its entirety to our office at:
218 Liberty Street,
Warren, Pa, 16365
or
P.O. Box 1673,
Warren, Pa, 16365
Please make sure that both you and your Proctor sign the required sheet and that
you correctly fill out the answer sheet.

Q - What is the best way to connect to my computer so I can hear the Webinar?
A - McKissock uses Internet Audio, so you will listen to the Webinar through your computer. The best way to connect your audio is to use a USB headset hooked up to your computer; the sound quality is much better this way. “Attempting to use your computer speakers or a non-USB headset can result in multiple audio issues, including echo and complete failure. While it can be forced to work in some situations, this is not always reliable. It is for these reasons we only recommend using a USB headset.” –iLinc
