Advanced Residential Applications and Case Studies Designed to comply with the 2008 Real Property Appraiser Qualification Criteria established by the Appraiser Qualifications Board, this course is structured around four specialized areas of appraisal practice: complex property appraisal, market analysis, challenges in the sales comparison approach, and highest and best use analysis. Beginning with a thorough explanation of complex properties, the course goes on to review the COMPETENCY RULE and the SCOPE OF WORK RULE aspects of USPAP, as well as the valuation process and reporting process for complex properties.

Fifteen advanced case studies throughout the course illustrate the practical application of the discussed principles. In addition to the end-of-chapter quizzes and final exam, this course contains mini-quizzes that will test the knowledge of the material throughout each chapter. The mini-quizzes will help prepare you for both the end-of-chapter quiz and the cumulative final exam at the end of the course. There is a required one-hour proctored exam at the end that must be taken in a monitored setting.

The language was easy to understand. The author used his sense of humor to ilustrate some real life scenarios which was very refreshing and made the course more enjoyable.

McKissock has always been my "go to" source for continuing education. Their customer service is excellent as well as a good inventory of courses accepted by the State Agency.

This course is by far the easiest to navigate through screens. I have taken many other online continuing education and update appraisal classes and McKissock is the best so far for the way the classes are organized and the price. I will be taking all my online classes through McKissock from now on.
