    This course is iPad compatible. The following course is the first of four Modules of continuing education required by the State of Delaware for those who newly hold real estate licenses. The course is a 3 hour study regarding the basic tenets and principles of expected professional behavior by real estate professionals in Delaware. The course defines the important, albeit foundational, concepts of the professional standards, agency relationship, sanctions (and monetary awards), fair housing and ethics, and the reasons why a real estate licensee must comply with these established real estate standards to not only be successful, but to remain within legal guidelines.

    The course includes case studies to emphasize the relevant points and to provide real-life illustrations of some of the potential perilous outcomes that may occur within the real estate business when licensees fail to follow the established and acceptable behaviors for real estate licensees.


    Finally, the course delineates the processes in place for those times when practicing licensees cannot resolve their own disputes. These include the alternate dispute methodologies of arbitration and mediation.

    This course is iPad compatible. The following course is the second of four Modules of continuing education required by the State of Delaware for those who hold new real estate licenses. The four modules of 12 hour continuing education designed for newly licensed real estate professionals covers twelve hours of study and must be completed within the first twelve months after you have received your initial real estate license. 

    This course is a 3-hour study regarding the various documents an agent must use when representing a buyer in a real estate transaction. These forms include Delaware’s Statewide Agreement of Sale, the Short-Sale and Must-Have Addendums, and the Consumer Information Statement. 

    In addition, Module 2 reviews the amendatory language for transactions that are being financed by the Veteran’s Administration or the Federal Housing Administration and then discusses the Delaware Uniform Common Interest Ownership Act (DUCOIA).

Together, the four modules of continuing education have been designed for newly licensed real estate professionals who need to meet the required twelve hours of study that must be completed within the first twelve months after an agent receives their real estate license. 

    This course is a 3-hour study regarding the various documents an agent must use when representing a seller in a real estate transaction. These forms include Delaware’s Statewide Agreement of Sale, the Consumer Information Statement, and the Seller’s Disclosure. 

    In addition, Module 3 reviews Radon Disclosure and Lead Paint Disclosure, and discusses the Delaware Uniform Common Interest Ownership Act (DUCOIA) and the new Closing Statement, a form which replaces the HUD-1 Settlement Statement.

    The following course is the fourth of four Modules of continuing education required by the State of Delaware for those who have recently attained a real estate license. The four modules of continuing education covers twelve hours of study, and those newly licensed must complete all four modules within the first twelve months. This final course, entitled “Module 4 – Real Estate Professionalism” is a 3-hour study regarding the basic tenets and principles of professional behavior expected by real estate professionals in Delaware. 

    Chapter 2 of this module explains the mission of the Pathways to Professionalism concept and further delineates the suggested behaviors for a real estate professional when working to have ‘Respect for the Public,’ ‘Respect for Property,’ and ‘Respect for Peers.’ Chapter 2 concludes with a Case Study to enhance the student’s understanding of the course contents.
