Dan earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, and has been active as an appraiser since 1987. He is a certified general appraiser and a licensed real estate broker in Pennsylvania, and has been instructing and authoring real estate appraisal courses since 1992. He holds an SRA designation from the Appraisal Institute, a CDEI (Certified Distance Education Instructor) designation from the International Distance Education Certification Center (IDECC), and is an AQB-Certified USPAP Instructor.

In 2004, Dan was appointed to the Pennsylvania State Board of Certified Real Estate Appraisers. After four years as board vice-chairman, he was elected board chairman in 2009, and is currently serving in that capacity

He is a designated member of the NAIFA, NAA, and the NAR Appraiser’s Section. He earned his Masters Degree in Business Management from Webster University in St. Louis, Mo. and has been actively involved in the appraisal profession for over 25 years. Tracy attended the University of Texas at El Paso where she studied Business Administration. Ms. Martin served as the Regional Manager and senior analyst for El Paso Appraisal Corporation, a Texas corporation doing business as JDH/EL PASO - Valuation Consultants, a full-service real estate, business machinery and equipment valuation company with offices in Austin, Fredericksburg, Marble Falls, and El Paso, Texas.

Ms. Martin is involved primarily in the valuation of real estate, including commercial income properties, industrial properties, and vacant land. She has been active in the Greater El Paso Association of REALTORS where she was the 1992 President of the Commercial Investment Division and a member of the Budget and Finance and the Strategic Planning Committee

Larry McMillen has been professionally committed to teaching and appraisal practice for over 25 years. He was an administrator for Northern Kentucky Comprehensive Care and a teacher at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. He earned degrees in economics, education and Real Estate from Antioch College and Northern Kentucky University. His appraisal experience includes a background as an appraiser for Norwest Mortgage and his own small appraisal company.

Larry is an AQB-Certified USPAP Instructor and has a CDEI (Certified Distance Education Instructor) designation from the International Distance Education Certification Center (IDECC). He enjoys teaching and talking to appraisers about the appraisal profession all over the United States.

In addition, he teaches for national appraisal schools and national appraisal organizations, as well as for his own Florida appraisal school.

Steve has written over fifty appraisal-related courses for his school and the colleges, as well as national schools and organizations. Steve provides training services for state, national and international lenders, and also for property appraiser’s offices. He has served as an appraisal expert witness for the State of Florida. The holder of a degree in education, Steve has also authored courses on the psychology of teaching adults, and business practice procedures. Additionally, his professional real estate experience spans over three decades and includes property management, full service real estate brokerage, real estate development, real property appraisal, real property consulting, manufactured home dealer, and provider of appraisal education as an author and instructor.

He is a naval air veteran, private pilot, president of his condominium association, licensed real estate broker, and happily married to his 8th grade sweetheart.

John is a member of the ASA Chapter 78 and holds the designation of Accredited Senior Appraiser. During his membership with the ASA, he has at one time or another held every chapter office, including his multiple terms as Chapter President.

Dan Tosh founded Tosh & Associates in 1985 and has been an appraiser since 1974. Dr. Tosh is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser licensed in the State of California and is an AQB Certified USPAP Instructor #10844. He holds two PhDs in economics and has a Juris Doctorate from Novus Law School and is an adjunct professor for Novus. Dr. Tosh wrote many papers and texts for the valuation profession and with co-author, George Miller, wrote the book “Residential Market Analysis & Highest and Best Use” published by Ashley Crown Publishing.

Among his many experiences, he was a contract auditor for FSLIC, an underwriter, vice chairman of a savings and loan, an executive vice president of a bank, a vice president of secondary marketing, a chief appraiser for two different mortgage companies, was a member of the US Services League and is a Vietnam Veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps.

Diana T. Jacob has been involved in real property appraisal since 1986. She holds the certified general certification from the states of North Carolina and Georgia and residential certification from the state of Louisiana. She has actively practiced appraising in both North Carolina and Louisiana. She is certified to teach the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) by the Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB) of the Appraisal Foundation and has taught a variety of appraisal courses throughout the US for several schools and associations.

She is well known as a prominent appraisal instructor and author, beginning with financial analysis of income-producing properties in 1990 and developing into land and residential subjects. She currently teaches both qualifying and continuing education courses and has had authored more than twenty-five formal publications including papers, course curriculum and texts. Her most recent and comprehensive writing is the “Write it Right” provides step-by-step guidance, including recommended comments for both FHA and Conventional appraisals. She is one of five mentors in the state of Texas working with disciplined appraisers who participate in the mentor program. She serves as a representative of the Association of Teas Appraisers (ATA) on The Appraisal Foundation Advisory Council (TAFAC). She is the proud grandmother of six grandchildren ages 0-17 and resides with her husband, Hal Tidwell, on their cattle ranch near Hillsboro, Texas.

Toni Viens, MAI, SRA serves as Division Director, Review Appraisal/Litigation Section, Harris County Appraisal District, Huston, TX.  In this capacity she directs litigation/review staff in defending appeals for all property types within the Harris County Appraisal District (HCAD).  With a staff of 34 litigation appraisers and support staff she coordinates activities with both internal and external counsel.  Prior to her recent move to Huston Toni was Manager for Real Estate Valuation for Johnson County, Kansas, overseeing the valuation and litigation process for the county’s commercial real estate estimated at $15 billion. After her graduate studies from the University of Florida, Toni started her career with Landauer Associates in New York City. In 1991, Toni moved to Connecticut to be the Vice President/Chief Appraiser of Phoenix Realty Group. In the early 2000’s Toni was the Director of Research for HVS International. Toni’s BA degree is in education and she has maintained her desire to teach throughout the years. She is an instructor for the IAAO, the Appraisal Institute, Appraisal Foundation, the States of Kansas, Florida, New York, Alaska, Wisconsin and Texas. Toni receives excellent reviews from students and course sponsors. Her high energy and positive attitude contributes to an informative and enjoyable educational experience.

Brown has been involved in the real estate profession in one aspect or another for most of her life. Her company was founded by her late father, Jesse Lovorn, in the late seventies-a company that continues to provide both appraisal, consulting, and sales services in the tri-state area surrounding Memphis, Tennessee. She specializes in residential real estate. She is both a certified residential appraiser and a Realtor in both Tennessee and Mississippi, who has served for many years on her local Realtor board including the office President of the NWMAR Board and President of the MLS. She has served as a board member of Bouchillon Institute for city planning, Southaven Springfest, and has been appointed to the State of Mississippi Appraisal Licensing and Certification Board. She also holds a degree in business from the University of Memphis and is a certified USPAP instructor. She has been instructing real estate and appraisal classes for over 10 years.

Joanne’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Baltimore, with post-graduate work at the University of Maryland. She is a Certified Residential Appraiser in Maryland and is an AQB certified USPAP Instructor.

Active as an appraiser since 1986, Joanne has over 25 years of experience in the industry and specializes in the appraisal and review of complex properties. Throughout numerous courts in Maryland, Joanne has served as an expert witness regarding tax assessment appeals, divorces, bankruptcies, zoning appeals and other cases involving title and ownership disputes. She has extensive program development and instructional experience in real estate, appraising and business acquired during the past 18 years. At Anne Arundel Community College in Maryland she developed and taught the appraisal licensing program. Publications include the textbook Maryland Real Estate Principles (co-author) and articles for the Maryland Institute for Continuing Education of Lawyers, Inc. (MICPEL, Baltimore, Maryland). Also, she has authored manuals used in the instruction of appraisal courses. Joanne’s primary instructional objective is to create a high-energy learning environment for all students.

Rob McClelland is a California Certified Residential Appraiser with over 25 years of experience in the industry. He currently specializes in retrospective appraisals for estate, tax, and family planning purposes but the majority of his experience over the years has been in residential appraising for Fannie Mae and FHA lenders.

Rob is an AQB Certified USPAP Instructor, and an IDECC Certified Distance Education Instructor and has authored and taught appraisal courses for over 8 years. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies with an Option in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication from California State University, Long Beach, and also holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Business/Real Estate.

An approved real estate instructor, he has taught Real Estate pre-licensing courses and advanced credit courses in appraisal, finance, sales and marketing at Bloomsburg University, his alma mater.

Bob Fleck has long been active with his state, local and national trade associations. He has been honored for his professional involvement as well as his civic volunteerism by the Central Susquehanna Association of REALTORS® who named him their REALTOR® of the Year in 1992 and the Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS® who bestowed upon him the honor of State REALTOR® of the Year in 2003.

Mr. Cohen has an extensive background in IRC Section 1031 tax deferred exchanges and every aspect of real estate titles and escrow closings, having participated in thousands of transactions during his 16 years exclusively in the title and exchange industries.

Asset Preservation, a subsidiary of the Stewart family of Companies, is a leading national “Qualified Intermediary” pursuant to IRC Section 1031 regulations and is efficiently handling exchanges in every state in the nation. Currently, Mr. Cohen dedicates a significant portion of his time speaking to accountants, attorneys, real estate brokers, and principals throughout the West. Mr. Cohen has made presentations to such groups as: The Colorado Bar Association, The Colorado Association of Realtors State Convention, The Aspen Board of Realtors, Denver Metro Commercial Association of Realtors, and The Pikes Peak Association of Realtors. Roz began her climb up the Real Estate ladder earning her Broker’s license in 1987 and numerous prestigious awards through the years. She is a 2008 graduate of the Five Star Institute of Dallas, Texas, as well as a 2009 grad of both the SCEG Instructor Development Workshop and the Louisiana Realtors® Leadership Course. A New York State Licensed Real Estate Broker, a National REBAC trainer, and a ‘Master Instructor’ at the NY State Association of REALTORS®, she devotes full-time efforts to independent training, coaching and consulting nationwide as Roseann Farrow Seminars. In addition to presenting her own courses, Roseann is an instructor for ABR, CIPS, CRB, GREEN, GRI, RSPS, SRES, and most recently, an online webinar presenter at McKissock.

Roseann holds a BA in Secondary Education and has served on committees and Boards of Directors for many real estate and community organizations. Currently she is Vice-Chair of the Faculty Development Committee at NYSAR and is President-Elect of REEA, The Real Estate Educators Association.

Originally from Long Island, Roseann raised her family in the Mid-Hudson Valley’s Cornwall-On-Hudson and now resides at nearby Orange Lake, 60 miles north of Manhattan. Her greatest accomplishment is her family, and her greatest strength is her sense of humor.

Ms. Morgan was the managing broker for many firms including RE/MAX and several real estate start-up companies. She is currently the broker/owner for Morgan Consulting Real Estate Brokerage.
