Land and site valuations have a number of unique factors that the appraiser must take into consideration during an evaluation. Understanding what makes land and site appraisals so unique will help you adequately appraise these properties — a skill which may keep you in high demand with a variety of clients. Your instructor, Alan Simmons, will offer you an in-depth look at valuation of land and site by reviewing specific definitions and legal descriptions of land and site parcels.

Additionally, your instructor will engage you in extensive discussions concerning case study examples which demonstrate individual methods of land and site valuation including:

  •         Extraction
  •         Allocation
  •         Subdivision Development
  •          Land Residual

Will the teachings of this course be adequate for appraising land-only assignments, as opposed to just being useful for valuing the land portion of a property for the cost approach?

Asked by: Apprasialton
When wondering what a course may be about, you will want to check out the “view course details” button on the course listing. This will give more information on what is being taught in the course. Some courses may come with a “sample course” option as well. This allows you to try out the course before purchasing it.
