Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its very important for appraisers to understand residential construction. This class is a must for any appraiser. It is straightforward, not overly technical and has great links for further study. I have the MAI,SRA, and AI-GRS from the Appraisal Institute (with 40 years of appraisal experience) and I learned a great deal taking the class.

Date published: 2020-06-28
Rated 2 out of 5 by from This course was a waste of time and money. The commentary on the videos was repulsive. I felt like I was listening to a smooth-talking builder/con-man trying to get an appraiser to "get the value up". I saw your disclaimer, but his interchanging and equating the words "cost" and "value" throughout the videos was totally inappropriate, and the audios should be redone. If I had not paid in advance, I would not had continued past the 10% point. The second half of the course was better because there were fewer videos. Overall, this course was terrible.
Date published: 2020-06-28
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Informative and recommended for any appraiser that is planning on accepting manufactured home appraisal assignments.
Date published: 2020-06-28
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have had experience going through the law suit phase and because I had adequate notes and comments in the report, the appraisers were dropped from the suit first. The suit was filed against lender, realtor and appraiser. I continue to practice the same but this class gave me information I did not realize and will add to my practices, especially on verification. This is an area where we all do not do enough to verify and begin to rely on experience only. This was a very good and informative class.
