Students who complete the course will grasp the importance of disclosures in ensuring that appraisal reports contain sufficient information and are not misleading to intended users. Students also will understand the role of disclaimers in informing intended users about the appraiser’s lack of knowledge in certain areas, as well as helping appraisers limit their liability.
Disclosures required by USPAP will be highlighted, as will disclosures for specific situations including FHA appraisals, environmental issues, and property deficiencies. The role of disclaimers in these various situations will be explored in depth.
In addition to the end-of-chapter quizzes and final exam, this course contains mini-quizzes that will test the knowledge of the material throughout each chapter.
