Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very well constructed online course for Real Estate Education. I'm pleased with the product as a educational tool and look forward very much to continuing with the McKissock Training. Many of the basic knowledge aspects are taken for granted while the more detailed aspects are fully developed making these courses well suited for the college grad who has a basic business understanding to excel in learning the process of appraisal as a trainee level.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The course is full of great information. Take your time and absorb the information. 30 hours may be too fast so do it at your own pace. Don't let that clock add pressure. Take notes and review. I also recommend that if you don't get a 100% on the quizzes to go back and do it again until you do.

How does one find an appraiser that will take them on as a trainee? A friend was going to work with me but her contracts with her clients prohibit the use of a trainee and/or using a trainee would negatively impact the volume of business she receives.

I am contemplating a career change as a property appraiser. After taking the mandatory course hours is there a licensed exam that needs to be passed as well?

Asked by: dkwms583
Each state will typically require that a licensing exam be passed in addition to any qualifying education courses, before issuing a license. Licensing requirements for FL Registered Trainee Appraisers can be found here: https://www.myfloridalicense.com/CheckListDetail.asp?SID=&xactCode=1020&clientCode=6401&XACT_DEFN_ID=26
