The correct identification, notification and remediation of
mold growth in a home is of utmost importance, as it has enormous health and
safety implications for homeowners and their families. With many severe,
long-term health hazards, the inspector must be vigilant about both the problem
and his or her own protection during the inspection. In this course, we will
cover basic information about mold, as well as many of the mold strains an
inspector might expect to find in a residence. We will also talk about various
places to search out mold growth and methods of measurement and remediation.
This course is
designed to fulfill two hours of home-inspection continuing-education credits.
The curriculum is outlined to reinforce mold inspection training and
knowledge. This is an overall advanced
course for both residential and commercial buildings.
