OC: Mold and Home Inspections: An Overview


The correct identification, notification and remediation ofmold growth in a home is of utmost importance, as it has enormous health andsafety implications for homeowners and their families. With many severe,long-term health hazards, the inspector must be vigilant about both the problemand his or her own protection during the inspection. In this course, we willcover basic information about mold, as well as many of the mold strains aninspector might expect to find in a residence. We will also talk about variousplaces to search out mold growth and methods of measurement and remediation.

This course isdesigned to fulfill two hours of home-inspection continuing-education credits.The curriculum is outlined to reinforce mold inspection training andknowledge.  This is an overall advancedcourse for both residential and commercial buildings.
