Most of the maintenance duties of these road systems fall on local authorities, although much of the remaining responsibilities lie with state highway agencies.
This course provides an overview of the administration, maintenance and design, reshaping and rehabilitation, and construction considerations of gravel roadway systems. Special topics include drainage, erosion and control, windrows, superelevation, as well as other special areas of concern.
