Designed to fulfill continuing education requirements for civil engineers, this course will study the importance of residential storm shelters and some of the specifications that were set forth in recent years by the National Storm Shelter Association in conjunction with the FEMA 320 publication. We will discuss specifications and procedures for both site-built and retrofitted shelters.(Information obtained through FEMA and the NSSA)
