This course is designed to fulfill continuing education requirements for civil engineers. The objectives of this course are to familiarize the student with the seismic performance of steel moment-frame structures. This course will summarize information contained in the FEMA/SAC publications, provide an understanding of the risk associated with steel moment-frame buildings, and discuss practical measures that can be taken to reduce this risk.
