OC: Bridge Inspections: An Overview for Professional Engineers

This course explores the many aspects of bridge inspections. It explains the purpose of bridge inspections and different considerations when performing these inspections. Through completing this course, students will discuss the classification of bridge structures, recognizing structural framing systems, and identifying different members, joints, and forces. Finally, students will learn to recognize structure evaluation, identify the inspection procedure, and discuss the inspection of railroad bridges.
