Michigan License Laws and Rules
Michigan requires a two-hour course on law and rules for its licensees each renewal period. Michigan License Laws and Rules is designed to meet this requirement while providing learners with a “why I need to know this” perspective. The chapters cover license law in Michigan and the oversight and enforcement roles of the Board and LARA; the most common violations committed by licensees and how to avoid them; the enforcement process and potential penalties for violations; and current and recent court cases involving real estate licensees to demonstrate how the court views a licensee’s role and duties to the public.

COURSE HIGHLIGHTS
- Review the purpose and protected classes under the Fair Housing Act, including how to comply with the Fair Housing Act in making accommodations or modifications for persons with a disability.
- Differentiate between the Fair Housing Act’s definition of ‘service’ animals and other assistance animals.
- Discover actions housing providers can and cannot take to qualify and accommodate assistance animals.
- Learn the process for filing and handling complaints related to the accommodation of assistance animals.
Ethics in the Age of Disruption
This course was created and designed to train and instruct REALTORS® on the practical application of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics and fulfills the REALTOR® Triennial Ethics Requirement.
Every three years, the National Association of REALTORS® requires members to complete a REALTOR® Code of Ethics course in order to remain in good standing with their local, state, and national associations. Additionally, this course may potentially be approvable for REALTORS® who wish to fulfill Code of Ethics requirement from the National Association of REALTORS®.
