Ohio Ethics: Canons and Code Together

The concept of ethics has been around for centuries. In Western civilization, its roots go back to ancient Greek philosophers such as Plato and Aristotle. Although it has been around a long time does not necessarily mean that people understand what ethics is or how to act ethically. The public does not see real estate licensees as highly ethical compared to other professions. This chapter will define what ethics is, along with other concepts like principles and values. It will also discuss ethical systems or frameworks to give you a basis for ethical thinking. It will wrap up with a discussion of the Kew Garden Principle and the Rotary International Model.
