The practice of real estate in Virginia has seen a turbulent and exciting time in the last few years. Markets have adjusted, sales volumes have fallen and risen, and a number of legislative items have passed in the state. This course will cover some of the more important legal and emerging trends, followed by some recent disciplinary actions imposed by the Virginia Real Estate Board. Topics covered in the course include Mortgage Act and Practices Rule, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and will cover Ethics and Standards of Practice as based on the National Association of Realtors ® Code of Ethics. This course covers the 1 hour in Legal Updates and Emerging Trends along with the 3 hours in ethics & Standard of Conduct. This course includes and has been approved as meeting the flood hazard areas and the National Flood Insurance Program requirement.
