- 201 - 90-hr real estate fundamental
- 202 - 30-hr license law, rules and regulations, law of agency, civil law and ethics

  1. 1. Comply with the General Louisiana Real Estate License Requirements:
    • Be at least 18 years old in order to get licensed in Louisiana
    • Have a high school diploma or GED in order to get licensed in Louisiana
  2. 2. Complete 90 hours in courses - Enroll Today
    • Meet the Educational Real Estate License Requirements in Louisiana by completing 90 hours of real estate education in courses approved by the Louisiana Real Estate Commission.
  3. 3. Pass a background check
    • Applicants must submit a criminal background history
    • Individuals who have been convicted of a felony will need to follow the felony applicant process.
  4. 4. Take the Louisiana real estate license exam
    • Pass the Louisiana Licensing Exam with a score of 75% or higher.
  5. 5. Find a licensed broker to support you through the process.
    • You must be sponsored by a licensed real estate broker prior to getting your Louisiana real estate license.
  6. 6. Provide proof of mandatory errors and omissions insurance prior to issuance of your license.
    • All active Louisiana licensees licensed in accordance with the provisions of R.S. 37:1430, et seq., are mandated to carry errors and omissions insurance
