Utah real estate licensees must complete 18 hours of continuing education (CE) every two years to renew an active license, as required by the Utah Division of Real Estate.
Of the 18 required hours, 9 hours must be in mandatory core topics, including real estate law, ethics, agency, trust accounts, and legislative updates. The remaining 9 hours can be elective courses approved by the Division.
Yes, online CE courses are accepted in Utah, as long as they are provided by Utah Division of Real Estate-approved education providers. Online learning is a flexible and state-approved method to fulfill CE requirements.
All CE must be completed before the license expiration date, which is every two years on the last day of the licensee’s birth month. CE must be reported before applying for renewal.
CE courses must be approved by the Utah Division of Real Estate. Only courses offered by Division-certified providers qualify for CE credit toward license renewal.
