Appraisal Continuing Education Course Ratings and Reviews

McKissock is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 1775.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Somewhat useful, but some parts were time-wasting, and the instructions for Excel contained errors.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It is an ok course, but I was expecting more precise instructions. It should have been a 4 hour course. Lots of info to just fill in the time, but it deviates the reader from the main focus.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This course has several excerpts from HUD webinars. I did not find them as helpful as having the information to read. I found them painfully boring (other people may not), in one case the webinar statements contradicted the text. In another case the webinar information was not consistent with hud underwriting guidelines. It is my opinion those segments of the webinar should not have been included.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I hate paying for and taking these stuoid coures - get real.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The JPEGs throughout the course were too small to view, making it extremely difficult to learn. Due to this course having heavy material and screen after screen of just text, it needs some video commentary or some other type of engagement to help keep students interested. As a result, I found it painful to complete the chapters and finish the course.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This course was bad, but not symptomatic of other courses from the school!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 1. Course should have focused on mold only, not also on air pollution and acid rain, since the harmful effects of pollution and acid rain upon real estate are rather minimal. 2. Discussion of mold should have focused less on what mold is, etc., and more on the appraisal aspects.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ridiculously technical course for appraisers. Maybe a good course for a HVAC installers, mechanical engineers, architects and designers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This course will put you to sleep if you have attention issues. It has a lot of reading with very little interactive games or video presentations which the odd ball course had. I hope seeming we are in 2014 that these course will start to be more interactive. If they tested this course with a group of students they would be pressed to get feedback because they all would be sleep at the end of the course.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The online courses take more time that 7 hours to complete; I think I'd rather spend the extra money and start back up with the live classes.
Date published: 2014-01-26
Rated 2 out of 5 by from This course is shorter than a live class, but the format requires a review of each chapter twice before the student can move on to the next chapter and there are too many needless polls and brain teasers. This class would be ideal for an appraiser less than 5 years in the business, but or those of us with a decade or more, it is tedious.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I could flip through the pages with minimal reading and still only got 1 question out of all the tests wrong. Questions are insultingly easy
Date published: 2020-01-18
Rated 1 out of 5 by from I found this course to be poorly written with many grammatical errors. Poor sentence structure made the test questions difficult to understand. Some of the multiple choice answers in the test were also difficult, and in my opinion, sometimes wrong. The course needs a lot of editing. Would not recommend the course to anyone. Example: As Frank thinks through the various analyses, it is apparent that an analysis is performed to answer a question. Which one of the following is true about Frank's competency? He doesn't really understand the questions the data will be used to answer. He doesn't understand how to collect the data.He doesn't understand what types of data to collect. He doesnt understand which analysis the data goes with.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Your efforts should be directed to bulding the ability of people to think. Instead your course focus on penalities and punishment. A robust man with a forthright charactor is doing his best at all timmes. This class does not help that person; this class only makes one realize the inefficiencies government is putting on the free market. Sad.
