In 2023 and 2024, the Commonwealth passed numerous changes to existing laws and introduced new ones. Virginia Legal Update covers changes relating to continuing education requirements, license reciprocity, appraisal, common interest communities, leasing, settlement, and tax exemptions for disabled veterans. Also crucial to a licensee’s understanding is the National Flood Insurance Program, flood hazard area mapping, and how flooding issues can impact a real estate transaction. Virginia Broker Management
This course is designed to fulfill the broker management continuing education requirement. It addresses the planning of a new brokerage business as well as its ongoing operation. This course is designed to fulfill four hours of real estate continuing education credit in the state of Virginia. The objective of this course to provide students with an overview of mandatory topics, including Fair Housing, Contract Law and Agency Law.

The practice of real estate in Virginia has seen a turbulent and exciting time in the last few years. Markets have adjusted, sales volumes have fallen and risen, and a number of legislative items have passed in the state. This course will cover some of the more important legislative updates passed and effective in 2023 that impact the real estate business. This course is approved for one hour of continuing education.

The three-hour Charting Your Success: The Code of Ethics, Buyer Representation, and Your Value Proposition is designed to meet the continuing education in ethics curriculum requirements as well as the NAR Code of Ethics requirement.
