Tennessee real estate licensees must complete 16 hours of continuing education (CE) every two years to maintain an active license, as mandated by the Tennessee Real Estate Commission (TREC).
Of the 16 required hours, all licensees must complete the 6-hour TREC Core Course, which covers mandatory legal and regulatory topics. The remaining 10 hours can be fulfilled through Commission-approved elective courses.
