Online Info

Oklahoma Appraisers are required to complete 42 continuing education hours every 36 months including the National USPAP Update or Equivalent Course. USPAP must be taken by all appraisers during each two year period ending on December 31 of even numbered years.

Effective 1/1/2026
To comply with the 2026 Criteria appraisers will be required to complete a course that meets the content requirements of the Valuation Bias & Fair Housing Laws and Regulations Outline, every two calendar years.

  • The first time an appraiser completes the continuing education requirement for this course, the course length must be seven (7) hours. If an appraiser successfully completed a seven (7) hour (plus 1 hour exam) course as part of their qualifying education, they have met this requirement. All appraisers must complete a 7-hour continuing education version of this course no later than December 31, 2026.
  • Every two calendar years thereafter, all appraisers must complete a 4-hour version of the bias course. The first cycle of the 4-hour course will be January 1, 2027-December 31, 2028. The two-year cycle for the 4-hour version will then coincide with the 7-Hour Update course and is an odd-year, even-year cycle.
