Virginia real estate licensees must complete 16 hours of continuing education (CE) every two years to renew an active license, as required by the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR).
Of the 16 required hours, 8 hours must be in mandatory topics, including ethics and standards of conduct, fair housing, legal updates, agency, and contracts. The remaining 8 hours may be completed through DPOR-approved elective courses.
