This is the 7-Hour National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Update Course, as developed by The Appraisal Foundation (Foundation). The course focuses on how to use the USPAP publication to help solve appraisal issues that affect daily appraisal practice.
This course examines, reviews, and explains the important aspects of appraising single and multi-tenant income producing industrial/manufacturing/warehouse/storage/distribution buildings (herein after “industrial buildings”) and multi-tenant flex style office/industrial buildings (herein after “flex style buildings”).
This online course also contains visual content and links to web sites you can contact for additional information on different components.
This is a self-paced online course. You may complete it when and where you choose. You may complete it in all one sitting, if you wish, or you can complete it in bits and pieces at your convenience. There will be quizzes along the way that you must complete in order to advance to the next section. At the end of the course, there will be a comprehensive online final examination.
After
completing this course, students will be able to:
• Differentiate between industrial and flex buildings
• Identify the information an appraiser needs to obtain to be able to best analyze and appraise an industrial or flex style building
• Develop a detailed expense analysis of an income-producing industrial building or multi-tenant flex style building
• Convert an estimate(s) of annual net operating income (NOI) into an estimate of value
