Here's what you need to renew your Maryland Appraisal license

Online Info

Maryland Appraisers are required to obtain 42 continuing education hours every 36 months. The 7-hour National USPAP Course is required every 2 years.

Effective November 1, 2023, any currently licensed appraiser, certified appraiser, and appraiser trainee, applying for license or certificate renewal shall successfully complete during the preceding 3-year license cycle a minimum of 3 hours of appraisal education related to racial discrimination and implicit bias.

Online Limitations

Effective Jan 7, 2013 the Maryland Commission of Real Estate Appraisers, Appraisal Management Companies and Home Inspectors may grant a licensee or certificate holder no more than 8 hours of credit for instruction per day for courses of appraisal continuing education.
