The case briefs involve fundamental valuation problems that are applicable to both residential and commercial appraisers interested in entering the field of litigation support.

Presenter Mathew Shake has over 35 years of real estate experience in valuation, development, brokerage, and investment. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona with an emphasis in Finance and Real Estate. He also holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute. Mr. Shake has extensive experience appraising and consulting for many property types in the areas of eminent domain, title claims, civil disputes, lending, litigation, and mitigation. He also has specialized experience in redevelopment areas, right-of-way projects, easement interests, and environmentally sensitive lands. Further, Mr. Shake is a qualified expert witness with deposition and trial experience.
