Hello, I'd like to find out if it is required to have an appraising working experience to complete all courses afterTrainee to Certified General Appraiser. Thank you

Asked by: Yeva
Yes. A person can not go straight to Certified General. Certified General tyically requires 3,000 hours of experience over no less than a 2 year period. Full requirements can be found here. https://www.dos.ny.gov/licensing/re_appraiser/re_appraiser_faq.html#1

Do you help with job placement after the course is complete?

Asked by: Marshall
We do not offer job placement assistance. Contacting the State or local appraiser board is often the best way as they will sometimes have a list of appraisers who are willing/able to act as supervisors for new trainees.
