How long will it take to complete the Demonstration of Knowledge Exam?

This will vary depending on the individual.  We recommend planning on at least 4 hours to adequately complete the entire exam. This exam does not need to be completed in one sitting.  You’ll have 30 days to complete the exam*, so you have some flexibility in completing the exam.  Additionally, you can view portions of the exam, move on to other sections, and return to any portion of the exam.  The exam will expire after 30 days and will no longer be visible to the candidate if it expires before it has been completed. Your application fee will not be refunded if the exam expires before you complete the exam.  If you wish to continue to pursue the CLHA certification after the exam period expires, you will need to re-apply and pay an additional application fee of $215.00.

*You will have a maximum of 30 days to complete the Demonstration of Knowledge Exam from is opened unless the one year certification deadline comes sooner in which case the exam must be completed by that date.
