Upon completion of this course you will be able to:
•Describe the definitions, scope of practice, continuing education requirements and the expectations for record keeping for land surveyors in the state of Georgia.
•Explain the grounds for revocation, suspension or denial or registration, as discussed in the Rules and Regulations in the State of Georgia.
•Discuss the direct supervision requirement, business practices and Certificate of Authorization (COA).
•Identify the Georgia Plat Act, as amended in 2012.
•Explain the rules of professional conduct and ethics, as well as the certifications for land surveyors in the state of Georgia.
•Describe the research and analysis required of property surveys.
•Discuss horizontal measurements, vertical measurements, monuments, coordinates, maps and plats and the use of GPS in the land surveying profession as defined by the Board Policies within Rules and Regulations of the State of Georgia. 
•Discuss the sealing of documents, as appraised in Rule 180-12.02.
