Drones are a relatively new (the FAA issued the first commercial done permits in 2006), rapidly evolving, and highly useful addition to the surveyor’s toolbox. To effectively utilize this technology, as with any other hardware or software, it is necessary to understand the capabilities of the systems. This course discusses the advantages and limitations of drones, their uses, and when they are just not the right tool for the job.
