Geophysical Surveying - Methods and Applications

Geophysical surveying is an applied branch of geophysicswhich uses seismic, gravitational, magnetic, electrical and electromagneticphysical methodologies at the Earth’s surface to measure the physicalproperties of the subsurface. Geophysical surveying methods generally measurethese geophysical properties, along with anomalies, in order to evaluatevarious subsurface conditions such as the existence of groundwater, bedrock,minerals, oil and gas, geothermal resources, voids and cavities, and much more.This course details the various methods used in geophysical surveying andprovides an overview of the many applications of geophysical surveys.
