OC: Wisconsin Rules and Statutes for Land Surveyors

The purpose of this course is tofamiliarize Wisconsin land surveying professionals with the Wisconsin statutesand rules that directly pertain to the regulation of their profession.  There are many laws, rules and regulationscovering the professional land surveyor, as well as other professions andservices of which the Department of Safety and Professional Service (DSPS) hasresponsibility.  These laws, rules andregulations come from actions of the Legislative and Executive Branches whichpass laws that modify Wisconsin Statutes and the Rulemaking process, and involveagencies - such as DSPS - working together with professional boards to developrules which will carry out requirements set out in Wisconsin Statutes.  These rules, when they are developed andfinalized, become part of the Wisconsin Administrative code.
