OC: Fundamentals of Electric Vehicles
The objective of this training is to gain a fundamental understanding of electric vehicles (EVs). Professional engineers from almost all engineering disciplines have an opportunity to participate in the EV manufacturing boom.
EVs do not begin in a car manufacturing plant; they start by mining the raw materials for the construction of batteries. The process continues by engineering plastics and other parts of a vehicle using renewable energy sources and raw materials.
Mining utilizes civil, mechanical, electrical, industrial, and manufacturing engineers. These engineering disciplines, along with chemical and metallurgical engineers, are involved in renewable-resourced materials and energy use.
This training provides a fundamental life-cycle review of the cradle-to-grave EV manufacturing process. Where could you see yourself fitting into the green economy?
