According to the Board, you are considered a “newly licensed property manager” until your second renewal cycle has been completed. During this time, the renewal requirements for your 1st and 2nd renewal will vary. The information below pertains to individuals licensed on or after July 22, 2017. Please read carefully.
Newly Licensed Property Managers are required to complete 4 hours in Trust Accounts before the first renewal.
24.210.829 NEW LICENSEE MANDATORY CONTINUING EDUCATION -- PROPERTY MANAGER. All new property management licensees are required to complete 12 hours of property management continuing education by the second renewal date, following their original license issue date. Four of the hours must consist of courses in property management trust accounts and must be taken before the first renewal date following original issuance of the license. New Licensee Property Managers are required to complete the remaining 8 hours of property management continuing education before the second renewal date.
In the event there is no trust account course offered by the end of the licensing year, a new licensee must complete the course when the class is next offered, unless the time for taking the course is extended for good cause at the board's discretion.
Expiration Date of Course: Course expiration dates vary but are generally 6 months after enrollment date.
Certificate: With few exceptions, online course completion certificates are available for download at course conclusion and posted directly to your student dashboard.
