Here's what you need to renew your South Dakota Real Estate license
The information below is a summary of the minimum requirements set forth by the South Dakota Real Estate Commission. For a more detailed requirements breakdown, please see the board's site.

South Dakota Real Estate: Broker Associate and (Responsible) Broker

At least 12 of the 24 hours must include study in any combination of the following required subject areas: Real Estate Contracts, Real Estate License Law, Fair Housing, Ethics, Environmental Issues, Antitrust, The American with Disabilities Act, or Brokerage Services.
All licenses expire on November 30. Depending on when a license is issued – some licenses will expire on even years and others on odd years.

Note: Any property managers licensed on or after Jan. 1, 2019, are required to complete 30 postlicense education hours. All 30 hours must be in required courses.
